A Longing to be Pursued

We've always been told the saying "Jesus loves you" but never take the time to understand it. When I read this, it put a smile on my face. To know that there is someone out there, that not only loves me, but pursues me. And the best part is that He never stops. It makes me think of how a God who formed everything to life, could want anything in this world but yet all He wants is me.

I felt to write this because I know there is someone out there that feels unloved or is thinking of giving up. If that's you, I just want to remind you that there is someone out there who loves you unconditionally and that someone is Jesus. You could search all over the world then will soon realize that no one can ever love you like Jesus does.

Most of the time, we seem to always seek to be loved and accepted whether it's from our parents, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, etc. yet we usually forget that there is someone already who accepts us, cherishes us, and thinks about us daily. He knew about us even before we were born.

He left His place at the throne and came down to Earth as man. He took a cruel death-died on the cross so that you could be forgiven of your sins and no longer condemned, breaking the power of sin that controlled us and He rose again on the third day so that you may be called to righteousness. He went down to hell and took the keys of hell and death. He did that for you. Shessh! Talk about a love story.

His love makes us complete. His love for us is what keeps us steady. His love for us out measures the world's standards of acceptance, love, worth, beauty, and purpose. No matter what you have done, it doesn't stop Him from extending His grace to you. He is compassionate, merciful, slow to anger and quick in love. Even if you don't love Him back, He still chooses to love you. He knows everything about you from your darkest secrets to the number of hairs on your head.

So if you're feeling low, feeling as if there's no hope, or as if no one could possibly love you, remember this: you are precious in God's sight. There's not a day that goes by that the Lord does not think of you; you are all He thinks about. He takes one good look at you and He falls in love. He sees you past your flaws and mistakes. He loves you for who you are, not for what you've done. He has adopted you as His own. He cares deeply for you and He will never leave you. Even if you leave Him, He is always waiting for you. He delights in you. He desires to have a personal, deep and intimate relationship with you.

If you have drifted or want to have a great relationship with Him, it's not too late; He is always welcoming with open arms. He has never left. Accept His love and allow Him to steal your heart. Seek Him, He's already obsessed with you.
